An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 16th minute of play forced Belfegor FC's goalkeeper Evaristo Ponciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Germany's attentive Linus Schwerner managed to snatch the ball when Cesar Barbosa made a throw-in in the 27th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Belfegor FC's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaristo Ponciano came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Willy Stieler hit a great ball. The supporters of Belfegor FC booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albin Holweck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Everardo Colas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saverio Orlondon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Everardo Colas made a kick off. Marten Palermo might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marten Palermo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 58th minute Marten Palermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walter Erviti hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evaristo Ponciano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Albin Holweck charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The throw-in from Linus Schwerner in the 90th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Belfegor FC's Simon Lapurdi. Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
