But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Vanderstraeten couldn't finish the play. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alketas Bourouselos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 15th minute of the match. A collision led to Panionios MK getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Filippos Nioplias hit a great ball. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Themos Leontiadis in the 25th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Guillaume Bonte in the 26th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Panionios MK's Omiros Maniatis. Casper Claes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 38 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Themos Leontiadis came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alketas Bourouselos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alketas Bourouselos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Themos Leontiadis in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46th minute, Allan Corrigan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Allan Corrigan to strike the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the game, Themos Leontiadis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Casper Claes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alketas Bourouselos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 61st minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of Belgium:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Panionios MK:s goal. Themos Leontiadis did an outstanding performance 65 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 4-1 to the right of an irritated Casper Claes in the goal. In the 71st minute Panionios MK were awarded a corner. Argyris Ksagorarakis went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Belgium's goalie and right to Themos Leontiadis. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Belgium's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 73 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Corrigan came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belgium's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Argyris Ksagorarakis was slow to take the kick. During this time Panionios MK's players had a chance to rest. Panionios MK's Themos Leontiadis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Casper Claes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alketas Bourouselos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Corrigan in the 82nd minute of play. Edward Vanderstraeten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alketas Bourouselos having to make a save. Alketas Bourouselos made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. Alketas Bourouselos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 87th minute of the match. After 89 minutes of play, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alketas Bourouselos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Belgium's attentive Sander Dermaut managed to snatch the ball when Argyris Ksagorarakis made a throw-in in the 97th minute of the game. Panionios MK were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Belgium for a fine match.
