After some careless play in the Acratas Unidos defense, David Eikelkamp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlitos Parodi. The Acratas Unidos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlitos Parodi should have stopped the shot. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Braulio Jorrin kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Matthias Vall's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Carlitos Parodi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 14th minute of play. Kees Mooiweer hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Matthias Vall sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthias Vall in the 31st minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Acratas Unidos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matthias Vall to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthias Vall in the 51st minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute Matthias Vall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. 72 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Acratas Unidos's Carlitos Parodi. Carlitos Parodi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carlitos Parodi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 77th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Acratas Unidos's goalkeeper Carlitos Parodi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Carlitos Parodi in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 82nd minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carlitos Parodi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Wim Wilmes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carlitos Parodi. That made the score 1-3 after 85 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Carlitos Parodi in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Netherlands players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
