Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Tifo Marinović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malte Schiele hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 14 minutes in the game Erwin-Alexander De La Rosa-Choca got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. If Joel Gargollo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Gargollo in the 16th minute. Joel Gargollo scored 2-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 21 minutes into the match, Obrero Barquisimeto's Joel Gargollo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 22 minutes Germany's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Erwin-Alexander De La Rosa-Choca who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Obrero Barquisimeto's Feo Cadorniga to fire away a dangerous shot which Tommy Kahn despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tommy Kahn was a little too slow when Joel Gargollo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 3-0. After 30 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dreifuss. In the 31st minute, Joel Gargollo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Obrero Barquisimeto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Joel Gargollo took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Tommy Kahn to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ulrich Stein hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Sachs in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tifo Marinović prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tifo Marinović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 43rd minute of play. Paulo Antoñana struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Obrero Barquisimeto. The supporters of Obrero Barquisimeto booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Sachs didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gargollo was the one to do the kick off. Albin Holweck hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Joel Gargollo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64thth minute of the game Joel Gargollo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Feo Cadorniga during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Germany booed when Obrero Barquisimeto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feo Cadorniga didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cido Cardozo in the 78th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Obrero Barquisimeto's Feo Cadorniga. But to his dismay, Feo Cadorniga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Cido Cardozo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Kahn having to make a save. In the 86th minute Cido Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cido Cardozo in the 90th minute of play. 91 minutes into the game, Adrian Dreifuss was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Germany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Obrero Barquisimeto the free kick. The supporters of Obrero Barquisimeto booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Mergenthaler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
