An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Moreira in the 9th minute of play forced PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's goalkeeper John Osomo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ademar Rodrigues in the 13th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 minutes of play, Portugal's Felipe Barreto made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. John Osomo was left in no man's land by his defense there! A throw-in in the 18th minute of the game was made by Francisco Aparecido with Matías Azevedo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 25 minutes into the match, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but John Osomo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Felipe Barreto was slow to take the kick. During this time Portugal's players had a chance to rest. Matías Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matías Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! John Osomo had in the 27thth minute some difficulties stopping Felipe Barreto's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademar Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 32 minutes Portugal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sandro Mandrak who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Sandro Mandrak got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wilson Amorim quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Matías Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 34th minute Matías Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Portugal's Bruno Bastos quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Francisco Aparecido, made in the 35th minute of the game. 38 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Matías Azevedo came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Clarence Seedorf, made in the 40th minute of the game. John Osomo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 41st minute of the match. John Osomo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgard Dubardo scored 2-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

After 52 minutes PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Felipe Barreto who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Portugal booed when PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléberson Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodolfo Miranda took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised John Osomo. John Osomo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Felipe Barreto struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Bruno do Vale was substituted for Francisco Aparecido. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ made a substitution. Lúcio Garcia replaced João Arruda. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matías Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Portugal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! If Bartolomeu Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. When Caetano Moreira got free in front of the goal in the 80th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. John Osomo was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. John Osomo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Pimentel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's John Osomo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolomeu Dias in the 84th minute of play. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's goalkeeper John Osomo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Daniel Pimentel came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Portugal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Pimentel couldn't finish the play. 95 minutes into the game, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Ademar Rodrigues nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-4. Ademar Rodrigues took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-4. For all the effort they put into the match, the Portugal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ.
