AQUILES's Higinio Sansone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Toledo in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustinas Gavorskis in the 25th minute of play forced Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augustinas Gavorskis in the 27th minute of play. Higinio Sansone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Toledo in the 30th minute of play. Augustinas Gavorskis scored 2-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gabriel Ascaso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon Cubero in the 37th minute of play forced AQUILES's goalkeeper Higinio Sansone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Ascaso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augustinas Gavorskis, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
