In the 20th minute Osman Nuri Unat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Denmark's Keld Paulsen got control of the ball when Batıhan Alatay tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kuva-yi Milliye were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Denmark's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abdurrezzak Orkan took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 32nd minute of play forced Kuva-yi Milliye's goalkeeper 许昆昂 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Chris Nygaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 许昆昂 was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chris Nygaard made a kick off. 许昆昂 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bertram Svenningsen in the 52nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Chris Nygaard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 许昆昂 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mikkel Wulff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Abdurrezzak Orkan came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Kuva-yi Milliye fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdurrezzak Orkan couldn't finish the play. Bjarne Kirkegaard hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Batıhan Alatay in the 91st minute of play. Bertram Svenningsen charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bertram Svenningsen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd minute, Bertram Svenningsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denmark's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Kuva-yi Milliye had won, even though Denmark had held more of the ball.
