Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) U.C.MILÁN's Tito Artigas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Antal Valentin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Menéndez Walton was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Antal Valentin might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Menéndez Walton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antal Valentin ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vilhelm Vilhelmsson got free with Fodor Daniel in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Antonio Bustos during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute U.C.MILÁN were awarded a corner. Sebastiano Pareja went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Vilhelm Vilhelmsson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel did a great save. 36 minutes into the match, Major Barna notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of U.C.MILÁN's Menéndez Walton. Menéndez Walton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tito Artigas's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. 44 minutes into the match, U.C.MILÁN's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Menéndez Walton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Balazs Lajos got free in front of the goal in the 45th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Menéndez Walton was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After the first half Hungary were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Menéndez Walton managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Hungary's Antal Valentin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tito Artigas in the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the game, Major Barna recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Menéndez Walton. Major Barna showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Menéndez Walton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Takacs Tibor, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute.
