Silvestre Garin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Segundo Perpinya got free with Arnout Reekers in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Justino Bastia hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the match, EL REY DE LA CARNE's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Silvestre Garin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Wim Wilmes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute Domingo Baraquiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 45th minute of play forced EL REY DE LA CARNE's goalkeeper Silvestre Garin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Nemesio Tirso managed to get in a good position for a shot. EL REY DE LA CARNE's supporters rose to their feet, but Nemesio Tirso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
