Candido Piedra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Visen Allu in the 19th minute. 23 minutes into the game, Altermundi FC's Visen Allu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Visen Allu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wilson Amorim. That made the score 3-0 in the 27 minute of play. The throw-in from Disvandis Larraona in the 29th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel. 30 minutes into the game, Felipe Barreto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Candido Piedra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Felipe Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 38th minute of play forced Altermundi FC's goalkeeper Candido Piedra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 41st minute of play forced Altermundi FC's goalkeeper Candido Piedra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Altermundi FC's Candido Piedra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 46th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Visen Allu came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Portugal's attentive Daniel Pimentel managed to snatch the ball when Disvandis Larraona made a throw-in in the 78th minute of the game. In the 82nd minute, Visen Allu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Candido Piedra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
