Mekki Item made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some careless play in the Bandung Tigers defense, Gustaw Tylenda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mekki Item. The Bandung Tigers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mekki Item should have stopped the shot. Zulkarnaen Mandaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egil Kilberg having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustaw Tylenda in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mekki Item saved Bandung Tigers from getting behind. If Gustaw Tylenda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Original Sabahan's Egil Kilberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nistor Popilean in the 36th minute of play. Mekki Item showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaw Tylenda in the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaw Tylenda in the 39th minute of play forced Bandung Tigers's goalkeeper Mekki Item to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 43 played minutes Bandung Tigers got a freekick which was hit by Bodo Amat. In the 45th minute, Gustaw Tylenda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mekki Item was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. The Bandung Tigers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Original Sabahan were winning 0-4.

Cristoforo Strazzabosco struck a weak shot in the 50th minute. Mekki Item didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Original Sabahan. 61 minutes into the match, Bandung Tigers's Zulkarnaen Mandaga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Egil Kilberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Bandung Tigers's Mekki Item got control of the ball when Gustaw Tylenda tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zulkarnaen Mandaga in the 65th minute of play forced Original Sabahan's goalkeeper Egil Kilberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Egil Kilberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zulkarnaen Mandaga in the 67th minute of the match. Bandung Tigers's Mekki Item proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Bandung Tigers from getting a goal against them. Original Sabahan's Egil Kilberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nistor Popilean in the 85th minute of play. Cristian Saldanha made in the 87th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Nistor Popilean however managed to control. A hard shot by Aristide Mirciulescu from long distance, 88 minutes into the match, got Mekki Item's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Fachri Puang took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Egil Kilberg. Egil Kilberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Original Sabahan eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
