After 27 played minutes Celestiales got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Bladi. After 28 played minutes, Torbellino's Bernardino Erdiano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Iker Balasi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Torbellino reached it. The crowd rose to their feet as Cleto Martxel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Iker Balasi. That made the score 2-1 in the 29 minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Guido Izotz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Celestiales's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Torbellino the free kick. Guido Izotz hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guido Izotz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Pedro Christobal fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Torbellino's protests and gave Pedro Christobal a yellow card for diving instead. After 53 played minutes Torbellino got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Christobal. Jorge Ubarna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guido Izotz in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute of the game, Aristides Berart landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Torbellino's Tom Sever was substituted for Aristides Berart. The supporters of Torbellino booed when Celestiales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iker Balasi was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 76 minutes into the match, Celestiales's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Hustaz came free, but Iker Balasi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Celestiales defense, Cleto Martxel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iker Balasi. The Celestiales fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iker Balasi should have stopped the shot. Torbellino walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
