When the match had been going on for 5 minutes, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Bruce Pesch got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Eloy Polentzi. Roger Dohmen hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Heimko Schober's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eloy Polentzi was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Anacleto Cisco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 54 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Jannik Huth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anacleto Cisco. The supporters of SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. booed when Copérnico F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustaquio Mateus didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95thth minute of the game Fritz Nettig who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Copérnico F.C.'s Eloy Polentzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Copérnico F.C. defense, Heimko Schober kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eloy Polentzi. The Copérnico F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eloy Polentzi should have stopped the shot. Copérnico F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
