After a rather tough play, Vanadio F.C.'s Ishmael Rico got a free kick in the 2nd minute. A collision led to SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Andrew Wagefeld hit a great ball. In the 10th minute, Sancho Orodea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Vanadio F.C.'s zone, Fritz Nettig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Argoitz Bustelo came out of the goal and Fritz Nettig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jakobe Castañeda succeeded in the game's 27th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. A collision led to Vanadio F.C. getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ishmael Rico hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eden Hazar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Michael Schick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorencio Erosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Michael Schick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rameriz Cando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Vanadio F.C.'s Jakobe Castañeda got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 68th minute Roland Täger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Argoitz Bustelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michael Schick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rameriz Cando in the 72nd minute of play. Fritz Nettig's late challenge caught a Vanadio F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fritz Nettig helped the player get up and apologised. After 73 played minutes SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. got a freekick which was hit by Fritz Nettig. In the 78th match minute, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Täger to maneuver through the defense. Eden Hazar took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michael Schick. Michael Schick dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 85 minutes into the match, Jakobe Castañeda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michael Schick. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jakobe Castañeda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 89th match minute, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dejan Leuschner to maneuver through the defense. Michael Schick came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Vanadio F.C.'s Jakobe Castañeda. But to his dismay, Jakobe Castañeda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Vanadio F.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
