Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Copérnico F.C.'s Amadeo Florin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nestor Rito lost his temper 4 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 6th minute Anacleto Cisco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aureliano Obeko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 8 minutes of play, Leones FC's Godfredo Ascencio made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eloy Polentzi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aureliano Obeko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Sazon in the 13th minute of play. When Edgard Salomone fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Copérnico F.C.'s protests and gave Edgard Salomone a yellow card for diving instead. After 15 played minutes Copérnico F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Salomone. After 16 played minutes, Leones FC's Norberto Geofredo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eloy Polentzi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Leones FC reached it. Diego Manilan struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Eloy Polentzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leones FC. Dante Mannie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Polentzi having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Copérnico F.C.'s goalkeeper Eloy Polentzi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godfredo Ascencio. The supporters of Leones FC booed when Copérnico F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Salomone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eustaquio Mateus kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Aureliano Obeko came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Copérnico F.C.'s Nunez Sazon. But to his dismay, Nunez Sazon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Anacleto Cisco took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aureliano Obeko. Aureliano Obeko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Aureliano Obeko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeo Florin, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Godfredo Ascencio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eloy Polentzi, 2-2. 40 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anacleto Cisco came free, but Aureliano Obeko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Leones FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Godfredo Ascencio hit a great ball. Eloy Polentzi made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Godfredo Ascencio sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emiliano Faro during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 48th minute, Emiliano Faro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Godfredo Ascencio to make the kick off. Eloy Polentzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Ascencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the match, Godfredo Ascencio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eloy Polentzi. Copérnico F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Godfredo Ascencio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Martin Rami's late challenge caught a Copérnico F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Rami helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Leones FC's Martin Rami got a free kick in the 61st minute. Aureliano Obeko made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Anacleto Cisco sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Copérnico F.C. defense, Godfredo Ascencio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eloy Polentzi. The Copérnico F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eloy Polentzi should have stopped the shot. If Godfredo Ascencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goalkeeper Aureliano Obeko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anacleto Cisco. Aureliano Obeko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nunez Sazon, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Emiliano Faro hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Leones FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
