The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Galo na Veia FC™'s goal looked a bit too open when Lars Meesters came free, but Barra Gøl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuca Arruda in the 4th minute. In the 6th minute, Wim Wilmes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 13th minute of play forced Galo na Veia FC™'s goalkeeper Barra Gøl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Barra Gøl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 16th minute of the match. Barra Gøl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Barra Gøl. Barra Gøl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Ferdinand Profeta hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 25th minute of play forced Galo na Veia FC™'s goalkeeper Barra Gøl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 played minutes Galo na Veia FC™ got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinand Profeta. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernard Scarpa in the 29th minute of play. Barra Gøl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernard Scarpa in the 40th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavinho Rosado hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Barra Gøl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. In the 46th match minute, Galo na Veia FC™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Umberto Moreno to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Bernard Scarpa made the kick off in the second half. Galo na Veia FC™'s Barra Gøl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 51st minute of play. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Galo na Veia FC™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernard Scarpa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Galo na Veia FC™'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gijsbert ter Kruimer 53 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Barra Gøl successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th minute, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Barra Gøl. Barra Gøl yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. In the 72nd minute, Flavinho Rosado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galo na Veia FC™ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. In the 77th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathijn Doctor to maneuver through the defense. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Barra Gøl made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stamen Ringov during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Galo na Veia FC™'s Stamen Ringov got a free kick in the 86th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Ronaldão Félix was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galo na Veia FC™'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. After 90 played minutes Galo na Veia FC™ got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldão Félix. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Wilmes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barra Gøl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Galo na Veia FC™ throughout the match.
