Portugal's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 7th minute Daniel Pimentel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Madrid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute Felipe Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Madrid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santiago Abreu's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Santiago Abreu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wilson Amorim. The goal made the score 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jiang Sha in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Amorim saved Portugal from getting behind. In the 23rd minute of the match Celestiales got a corner. Portugal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jiang Sha ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ruperto Eufemio made a great header on Celestiales's corner, it was just that Portugal's Wilson Amorim managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 24th minute, Ruperto Eufemio made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 27 minutes into the match, Portugal's Viriato Moura sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iker Madrid narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Celestiales's Ruperto Eufemio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Iker Madrid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After 54 minutes of play, Celestiales's Santiago Abreu made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 58th minute of the match, Viriato Moura tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Iker Madrid saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Felipe Barretos short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Iker Madrid to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 64 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Abreu came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Celestiales's Iker Madrid got control of the ball when Felipe Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Celestiales made a substitution. Eustaquio Eudoxio replaced Santiago Abreu. The throw-in from Ariel Valiente in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Portugal's Graciano Coutinho. Caetano Moreira scored 3-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iker Madrid, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game was made by Fabio Iago with Eustaquio Eudoxio as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jiang Sha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustaquio Eudoxio in the 82nd minute of the match. A collision led to Celestiales getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Eustaquio Eudoxio hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the game, Celestiales's Jiang Sha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. When Celestiales's Eustaquio Eudoxio in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Portugal's goalie prevented a goal. Iker Madrid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Moreira in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Pimentel to maneuver through the defense. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustaquio Eudoxio in the 95th minute of play. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
