An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 6th minute of play forced La Gallardeta's goalkeeper Belchior Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. Belchior Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduardo Izel made a great header on La Gallardeta's corner, it was just that Hungary's Fodor Daniel managed to reach the ball for a save. Takacs Tibor struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Belchior Saldanha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. After a defensive mix-up in La Gallardeta's zone, Major Barna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Belchior Saldanha came out of the goal and Major Barna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fodor Daniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan-Olof Eliasson in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute of the match La Gallardeta got a corner. Hungary's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vintilă Guriță ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on La Gallardeta's corner Wilfred Vrede fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fodor Daniel quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfred Vrede in the 33rd minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Balazs Lajos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belchior Saldanha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Balazs Lajos went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilfred Vrede made a kick off. The corner led La Gallardeta's Vintilă Guriță to fire away a dangerous shot which Fodor Daniel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jan-Olof Eliasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. After 57 minutes, Vinicio Polentzi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Gallardeta and the Hungary players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vinicio Polentzi kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Olof Eliasson in the 60th minute of play. La Gallardeta's Clemente Anaya was substituted for Wilfred Vrede. In the 63rd minute La Gallardeta were awarded a corner. Vintilă Guriță went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Zacarias Paz heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Belchior Saldanha made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Major Barna sent off a good shot on target. Clemente Anaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Belchior Saldanha in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Olof Eliasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
