Daniel Gerber was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alan Rezek struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Daniel Gerber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Czech Republic. 13 minutes into the game, Erik Jilek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Daniel Gerber was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FALCÕES VERDES's Nilton Abreu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Svatopluk Capek, made in the 39th minute of the game. In the 41st minute Erik Jilek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erik Jilek to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Jilek in the 53rd minute of play forced FALCÕES VERDES's goalkeeper Daniel Gerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Czech Republic's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
