In the 13th minute, Brock Friend got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Tommy Kahn managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Brock Friend fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brock Friend in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Chris Mergenthaler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Germany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cruzeiro Esporte Clube the free kick. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Sachs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Arthur Bufi in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Ramón Aguiar was substituted for Enrique de Mendonça. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Arthur Bufi made a huge save. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great ball. In the 85th minute of the match Oswaldo Maranhense shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Kahn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Brock Friend in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Germany's goalie prevented a goal. In the 91st minute, Olavo Quadros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes in the game Olavo Quadros did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Brock Friend. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
