When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Nando Pereira took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Gabriel Ascaso to make any attempt to save it. After 19 played minutes Spain got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Sartori. 22 minutes into the match, Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nando Pereira. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nando Pereira in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabriel Ascaso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Art Hauschildt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Toledo in the 35th minute of the match. Gabriel Ascaso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nando Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Adria Bielsa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Art Hauschildt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
