Denmark's Flemming Bendixen got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Flemming Bendixen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edson Bertassi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute of the match Denmark got a corner. Carrapichel - FDFDF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mikkel Wulff ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Denmark's Mikkel Wulff to fire away a dangerous shot which Edson Bertassi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Denmark's Lars Steen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Dráuzio Meirelles, made in the 43rd minute of the game. The supporters of Denmark booed when Carrapichel - FDFDF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edson Bertassi came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Denmark's Flemming Bendixen. But to his dismay, Flemming Bendixen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Flemming Bendixen to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Dráuzio Meirelles threw the ball into play from the sideline. Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Denmark's Simon Bendtsen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dráuzio Meirelles in the 56 minute of the game. Abel de Barros struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Keld Paulsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carrapichel - FDFDF. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Fernandes in the 63rd minute of play. After 65 minutes, Tony Dias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carrapichel - FDFDF and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edson Bertassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flemming Bendixen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 minutes of play, Denmark's Flemming Bendixen made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edson Bertassi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Denmark's attentive Theis Winther managed to snatch the ball when Dráuzio Meirelles made a throw-in in the 82nd minute of the game. Denmark's Olav Graversen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dráuzio Meirelles in the 87 minute of the game. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Dráuzio Meirelles in the 94th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Denmark's Lars Steen.
