Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wilton Vale started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute TAQUARI FC were awarded a corner. Bernard Letourneau went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Portugal's goalie and right to Frank Lampard. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Portugal's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilton Vale in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Amorim saved Portugal from getting behind. In the 9th minute of the match TAQUARI FC got a corner. Portugal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bernard Letourneau ran over to the corner to take the kick. Wilton Vale was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Wilton Vale scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 15thth minute of the game Viriato Moura who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TAQUARI FC's Rodolfo Salgado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ernani Souto struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Wilson Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TAQUARI FC. In the 20th minute, Viriato Moura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 24th minute, Felipe Barreto made a precise shot to the right of Rodolfo Salgado. TAQUARI FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Wilton Vale took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Wilson Amorim to make any attempt to save it. In the 35th minute, Wilton Vale left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TAQUARI FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Wilson Amorim made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Wilton Vale sent off a good shot on target. Wilton Vale might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilton Vale ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Wilton Vale's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Amorim was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as TAQUARI FC's Pabla Zuniga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wilson Amorim. That made the score 4-2 after 44 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-2.

52 minutes into the game, Kabiru Rotimi threw the ball into play from the sideline. Portugal's Raul Caetano quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 55th minute Felipe Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chupan Doar kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Portugal booed when TAQUARI FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valer Covaliu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Valer Covaliu kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Daniel Pimentel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. TAQUARI FC's attentive Frank Lampard managed to snatch the ball when Fabricio Andrade made a throw-in in the 74th minute of the game. Wilton Vale blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Amorim having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilton Vale in the 77th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. TAQUARI FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bernard Letourneau in the 79th minute. In the 82nd minute Bartolomeu Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton Vale in the 85th minute of play. Rodolfo Salgado made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Bartolomeu Dias sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Pimentel struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valer Covaliu during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th match minute, TAQUARI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valer Covaliu to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The TAQUARI FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Portugal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
