Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after 15 de Novembro's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. Lars Meesters was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 17th minute of play forced 15 de Novembro's goalkeeper Gildo Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Arnout Reekers managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when 15 de Novembro's Tião Palmeira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. M. Andik Cabañass short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Arnout Reekers to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 28th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wim Wilmes to maneuver through the defense. The corner led Netherlands's David Eikelkamp to fire away a dangerous shot which Gildo Moura despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, 15 de Novembro's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Gildo Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, 15 de Novembro's 程风振 got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gildo Moura. Gildo Moura dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Roger Mineiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 56 minutes 15 de Novembro's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from M. Andik Cabañas in the 61st minute of the match. 15 de Novembro's André Luís Cardoso was substituted for Hílton Perez. When Gustaaf Groeneveldt came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaaf Groeneveldt couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Bas Tuitert got a free kick in the 69th minute. Tião Palmeira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gildo Moura was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When André Luís Cardoso came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the 15 de Novembro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Luís Cardoso couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Netherlands defense, Nildo Figueiredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. After 96 minutes Netherlands's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tião Palmeira who took care of the corner kick. Netherlands's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
