Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Cristoforo Strazzabosco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th match minute, Original Sabahan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristide Mirciulescu to maneuver through the defense. Egil Kilberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 27th minute of play. Egil Kilberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Eikelkamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 40 minutes into the match, Original Sabahan's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Egil Kilberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 43rd minute of play forced Original Sabahan's goalkeeper Egil Kilberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Original Sabahan's Egil Kilberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 52nd minute of play. Haikal Sugendo kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Original Sabahan's Egil Kilberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Original Sabahan from getting a goal against them. David Eikelkamp kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 55thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Original Sabahan's keeper Egil Kilberg was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Egil Kilberg made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when David Eikelkamp sent off a good shot on target. After 69 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Egil Kilberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 74th minute, Gust Ennemans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute Gustaw Tylenda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaw Tylenda in the 77th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gustaw Tylenda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnout Reekers was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 82nd minute Original Sabahan were awarded a corner. Aristide Mirciulescu went to the cornerflag to take it. The throw-in from Mathijn Doctor in the 88th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Original Sabahan's Osvaldas Maziliauskas. Egil Kilberg made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Wim Wilmes sent off a good shot on target. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes managed to work through Original Sabahan's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Wim Wilmes dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Netherlands were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
