Zaccheo Andolina started the match with the kick off. Mauro-Facundo Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 3rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zaccheo Andolina in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauro-Facundo Buffon saved Merusca F&P from getting behind. Mauro-Facundo Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Bolt in the 15th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute of the match, Walmyr Novaes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Flavio Vittori saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mauro-Facundo Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siricio Liotta, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. A nice corner shot did that Sigfrido Auletta got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mauro-Facundo Buffon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mauro-Facundo Buffon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zaccheo Andolina's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. 26 minutes into the game, Vihar Perchemliev threw the ball into play from the sideline. Italy's Gomberto Picozzi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zaccheo Andolina in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauro-Facundo Buffon saved Merusca F&P from getting behind. Florian Capasso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Bolt in the 41st minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zaccheo Andolina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mauro-Facundo Buffon having to make a save. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Bolt in the 45th minute of play. Roberto Bolt struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Flavio Vittori didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merusca F&P. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roberto Bolt to make the kick off. Porziano Marchitelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro-Facundo Buffon having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Merusca F&P's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Mauro-Facundo Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Porziano Marchitelli in the 60th minute of play forced Merusca F&P's goalkeeper Mauro-Facundo Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauro-Facundo Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 65th minute Roberto Bolt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Merusca F&P's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Mauro-Facundo Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute, Walmyr Novaes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Merusca F&P's Hélder Fonseca was substituted for Florian Capasso. Walmyr Novaes hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Porziano Marchitelli got free with Mauro-Facundo Buffon in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mauro-Facundo Buffon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zaccheo Andolina's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Merusca F&P's Marcinho Sabóia was substituted for Walmyr Novaes. Italy's Siricio Liotta quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Geovani Mangueira, made in the 74th minute of the game. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Bolt in the 77th minute of play. Siricio Liotta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd match minute, Merusca F&P was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Trevisan to maneuver through the defense. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. In the 84th minute, Fábio Trevisan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro-Facundo Buffon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Siricio Liotta went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Siricio Liotta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauro-Facundo Buffon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adriano Curto got free with Mauro-Facundo Buffon in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Italy booed when Merusca F&P was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrinho Paranaense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Italy played a much better game than Merusca F&P and deserved their victory. The Merusca F&P players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
