After 4 minutes Boom Shaka Laka's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cristiano Aparecido who took care of the corner kick. After 5 played minutes Coritiba City got a freekick which was hit by Fernandinho Mendes. 6 minutes into the match, Paulão Vinhas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Georg Wiklund. Boom Shaka Laka's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulão Vinhas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 9 played minutes Coritiba City got a freekick which was hit by Cauan Cunha. Alex Jelm charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Jelm the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Boom Shaka Laka getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Alex Jelm hit a great ball. Georg Wiklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael de Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 16 minutes of play, Boom Shaka Laka's Alex Jelm made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Pedro Vides was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Paulão Vinhas fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coritiba City's protests and gave Paulão Vinhas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute, Paulão Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Jelm got free with José Pedro Vides in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Boom Shaka Laka booed when Coritiba City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernandinho Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Cícero Batista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Georg Wiklund was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Georg Wiklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cícero Batista in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael de Salles in the 31st minute of play forced Boom Shaka Laka's goalkeeper Georg Wiklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boom Shaka Laka's Georg Wiklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael de Salles in the 35th minute of play. Rafael de Salles took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Georg Wiklund. Georg Wiklund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After a rather tough play, Coritiba City's Cícero Batista got a free kick in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rafael de Salles made a kick off. Alex Jelm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. José Pedro Vides stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Jelm's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Rafael de Salles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Georg Wiklund made a huge save. Georg Wiklund made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Cristiano Aparecido sent off a good shot on target. Georg Wiklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cícero Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. With his leg Georg Wiklund managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Coritiba City's Rafael de Salles fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 69 minutes into the match, Coritiba City's Cícero Batista sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Georg Wiklund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, Boom Shaka Laka's goalkeeper Georg Wiklund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael de Salles. After 76 played minutes Coritiba City got a freekick which was hit by Paulão Vinhas. Alex Jelm might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Pedro Vides. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alex Jelm ran back to his position shaking his head. Georg Wiklund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael de Salles in the 80th minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Rafael de Salles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coritiba City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Cristiano Aparecido's late challenge caught a Boom Shaka Laka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Aparecido helped the player get up and apologised. After 94 played minutes Coritiba City got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Aparecido. The Coritiba City players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
