Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dorin Mereuță took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute Miguel Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergiu Rădescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Clube Audax Metropolitano's zone, Octavian Cristian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Donatello came out of the goal and Octavian Cristian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 20 played minutes Armada got a freekick which was hit by Mircea Todea. Sergiu Rădescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldinho Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudinho Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Sergiu Rădescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Germano Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Marian Panaitescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fernando Donatello. That made the score 2-0 in the 33 minute of play. Octavian Cristian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Fernando Donatello made a huge save. In the 39th minute, Octavian Cristian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manole Nișu hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fellipe Bueno made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Victor Iordănescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Armada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clube Audax Metropolitano the free kick. After 54 played minutes Armada got a freekick which was hit by Victor Iordănescu. A long shot from Ronaldinho Andrade in the 55th minute of play was well struck, but Sergiu Rădescu made a really good save at the right post. Fernando Donatello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manole Nișu in the 56th minute of the match. If Miguel Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marian Panaitescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Fernando Donatello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Bruninho Araújo was substituted for Fellipe Bueno. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Ulysses Campidelis was substituted for Claudinho Teixeira. A hard shot 72 in the game by Ulysses Campidelis from a close distance when the talented Sergiu Rădescu managed to make a qualified save. Armada's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Germano Gerber got free with Sergiu Rădescu in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sergiu Rădescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivaldo Albuquerque, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 85th match minute, Armada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Vulcan to maneuver through the defense. If Germano Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Armada fans cheered their team off the field, for while Clube Audax Metropolitano had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
