Quandus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duarte Fernandes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 21 minutes, Dorin Mereuță mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Armada and the Quandus players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Armada getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Dorin Mereuță hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Quandus's goalkeeper Evandro Furtado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Octavian Cristian. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by William de Sousa during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th minute, Marian Panaitescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Duarte Fernandes was the one to do the kick off. Evandro Furtado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Octavian Cristian in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evandro Furtado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Duarte Fernandes fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quandus's protests and gave Duarte Fernandes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Armada booed when Quandus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duarte Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duarte Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergiu Rădescu having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Octavian Cristian in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evandro Furtado saved Quandus from getting behind. 78 minutes into the game, Armada's Dorin Mereuță nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evandro Furtado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The supporters of Armada booed when Quandus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilson Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evandro Furtado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Octavian Cristian's shot from short distance in the 91st minute.
