João Carlos de Souza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. João Carlos de Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Americo Natanael in the 11th minute of the match. Erik Porto hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute Mariano Urdaspal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carlos de Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Joel Abeitia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Carlos de Souza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Albertinho Pinho took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adolfo Lon. Adolfo Lon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Mariano Urdaspal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Carlos de Souza having to make a save. João Carlos de Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Abeitia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Piernas Locas Crane FC booed when Quandus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, William de Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Carlos de Souza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Urdaspal's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isaltino Capixaba during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. João Carlos de Souza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Urdaspal went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. After the first half Piernas Locas Crane FC were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Urdaspal made a kick off. Quandus's João Carlos de Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Abeitia in the 53rd minute of play. After 55 minutes of play Quandus's Isaltino Capixaba was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 56 played minutes Quandus got a freekick which was hit by Isaltino Capixaba. After 58 played minutes Quandus got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Fernandes. Mariano Urdaspal struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. João Carlos de Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piernas Locas Crane FC. In the 68th minute, Piernas Locas Crane FC's Mariano Urdaspal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Abeitia in the 79th minute of play forced Quandus's goalkeeper João Carlos de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Americo Natanael ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Carlos de Souza was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. When Ernesto Kismi came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Piernas Locas Crane FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Kismi couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Quandus's Duarte Fernandes got a free kick in the 96th minute.
