Croatia's Ilija Skugor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duncan Scotland in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Damir Pongrac had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simon McChoiter. Pure dead brilliant team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damir Pongrac was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 16th minute, Benjamin Domazet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute, Toni Mauzer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simon McChoiter was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Silvije Santek hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Simon McChoiter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toni Mauzer in the 26th minute of play. Croatia's Ilija Skugor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Croatia from getting a goal against them. 36 minutes into the match, Pure dead brilliant team's goal looked a bit too open when Toni Mauzer came free, but Simon McChoiter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Croatia's Ilija Skugor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duncan Scotland in the 38th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aaron McPhedran got free with Ilija Skugor in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aaron McPhedrans short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Ilija Skugor to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Ilija Skugor managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Pure dead brilliant team's Aaron McPhedran fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Toni Mauzer to strike the kick off in the second half. Simon McChoiter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dinko Stankovic in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute, Pure dead brilliant team's Reece McGruder seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Reece McGruder the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Pure dead brilliant team protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Reece McGruder had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 55 played minutes Pure dead brilliant team got a freekick which was hit by Reece McGruder. In the 56th minute of the match Toni Mauzer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Simon McChoiter showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ilija Skugor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Max McIvor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damir Pongrac charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damir Pongrac the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 58 played minutes Croatia got a freekick which was hit by Damir Pongrac. Simon McChoiter was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Martin Bosak capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Martin Bosak really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. In the 65th match minute, Pure dead brilliant team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liam Docherty to maneuver through the defense. Simon McChoiter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toni Mauzer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the game, Pure dead brilliant team's Aaron McPhedran nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ilija Skugor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4.
