In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Iván Sotomayor came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Iván Sotomayor notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Denmark's Keld Paulsen. Keld Paulsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Balkes FC's goalkeeper Xamo Viladrosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Xamo Viladrosa was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The supporters of Denmark booed when Balkes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anacleto Freyle didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Mathias Ludvigsen got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iván Sotomayor in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute of the game Calle Lindström made a throw-in which Iván Sotomayor played forward. After 49 minutes Denmark's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mikeldi Barzana who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Mikeldi Barzana got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Keld Paulsen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iván Sotomayor to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Balkes FC's Iván Sotomayor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Keld Paulsen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iván Sotomayor in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Balkes FC's Iván Sotomayor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Keld Paulsen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Theis Winther kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Iván Sotomayor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Iván Sotomayor made a precise shot to the right of Keld Paulsen. Denmark's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After 79 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Theis Winther. Denmark's Theis Winther quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Calle Lindström, made in the 81st minute of the game. Iván Sotomayor took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Keld Paulsen. Keld Paulsen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iván Sotomayor in the 90th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute, Theis Winther hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Balkes FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
