Chris Nygaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ysidro Mallen having to interfere. Igor Gilabert hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Ysidro Mallen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikkel Wulff, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The Estudiantes de la Plata fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Estudiantes de la Plata's Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Estudiantes de la Plata booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Bendtsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Keld Paulsen made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Flavio Larpe sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd minute, Chris Nygaard made a precise shot to the right of Ysidro Mallen. Estudiantes de la Plata's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. A collision led to Estudiantes de la Plata getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Robustiano Diaz hit a great ball. Denmark were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Estudiantes de la Plata's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Chris Nygaard took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Chris Nygaard got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ysidro Mallen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ysidro Mallen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chris Nygaard's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Ysidro Mallen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 38 minutes into the game, Amado Txomin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Estudiantes de la Plata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. In the 38th match minute, Estudiantes de la Plata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amado Txomin to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Estudiantes de la Plata getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Flavio Larpe hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Nygaard in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ysidro Mallen saved Estudiantes de la Plata from getting behind. Hermengildo Basajaun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The wind increased when Chris Nygaard made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Theis Winther hit a great ball. Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chris Nygaard took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ysidro Mallen. Ysidro Mallen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Simon Bendtsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Ysidro Mallen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the game, Benedicto Cerilo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Estudiantes de la Plata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. In the 66th minute, Benedicto Cerilo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bertram Svenningsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ysidro Mallen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chris Nygaard struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Ysidro Mallen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. Ysidro Mallen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benedicto Cerilo kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Flavio Larpe's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavio Larpe helped the player get up and apologised. Flavio Larpe kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. When Kenn Skou fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Denmark's protests and gave Kenn Skou a yellow card for diving instead. 79 minutes into the game, one of Denmark:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 80 minutes into the match, Benedicto Cerilo notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Denmark's Keld Paulsen. Keld Paulsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. Hermengildo Basajaun hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The Estudiantes de la Plata supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Denmark's performance. The match ended with a win for Denmark.
