Inter de Monte Grande fc:s Leon Avellaneda showed great skill when he stopped Micah Macdonald:s penalty. England's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Micah Macdonald in the 8th minute. The corner ended in Micah Macdonald almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Inter de Monte Grande fc's Leon Avellaneda did a great save. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Inter de Monte Grande fc! In the 13th minute, Issac Dawson made a precise shot to the right of Leon Avellaneda. Inter de Monte Grande fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 23 minutes England's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Elpidio Malvin who took care of the corner kick. Elpidio Malvin made a great header on Inter de Monte Grande fc's corner, it was just that England's Khalid Kennedy managed to reach the ball for a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kyle Cox in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leon Avellaneda saved Inter de Monte Grande fc from getting behind. If Issac Dawson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 30th minute Kyle Cox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Avellaneda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leon Avellaneda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kyle Cox went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Inter de Monte Grande fc's Elpidio Malvin got a free kick in the 34th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Issac Dawson managed to get in a good position for a shot. England's supporters rose to their feet, but Issac Dawson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leon Avellaneda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leon Avellaneda came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by England's Issac Dawson. But to his dismay, Issac Dawson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Khalid Kennedy was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Amancio Brion capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Amancio Brion really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. In the 47th minute, Amancio Brion hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Kyle Cox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 52 minutes into the game, England's Micah Macdonald nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leon Avellaneda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. The supporters of Inter de Monte Grande fc booed when England was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddie Willis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kyle Cox fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Avellaneda having to interfere. Kyle Cox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leon Avellaneda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kyle Cox's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Khalid Kennedy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amancio Brion in the 71st minute of play. Inter de Monte Grande fc made a substitution. Paulino Onofre replaced Mariano Gagriel. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kyle Cox in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leon Avellaneda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 89th minute, Kyle Cox hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leon Avellaneda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Cox in the 95th minute of play. England played a much better game than Inter de Monte Grande fc and deserved their victory. The Inter de Monte Grande fc players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
