Croatia's Silvije Santek was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hernan Goren in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 6 minutes into the match, Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Romildo. The referee felt a red card was in order, 8 minutes into the game, when Benjamin Domazet put in a rough tackle. After 8 played minutes Croatia got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Domazet. A hard shot by Rogelio Senen from long distance, 9 minutes into the match, got Ilija Skugor's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to Croatia getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Damir Pongrac hit a great ball. Ilija Skugor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Romildo in the 19th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Martin Bosak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Croatia's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Bosak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernan Goren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Joaquin Lorien came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the BERMEJO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquin Lorien couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd match minute, Croatia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toni Mauzer to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martin Bosak was the one to do the kick off. When Martin Bosak fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Croatia's protests and gave Martin Bosak a yellow card for diving instead. In the 51st match minute, Croatia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Bosak to maneuver through the defense. Hernan Goren made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Dinko Stankovic sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Croatia getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Damir Pongrac hit a great ball. Croatia's Ilija Skugor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Seber in the 75th minute of play. After 77 played minutes Croatia got a freekick which was hit by Dinko Stankovic. 4-1 became the score in the 87th minute when Joaquin Lorien elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. BERMEJO walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
