Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Italy's Siricio Liotta quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Arnoldo Mel, made in the 11th minute of the game. Siricio Liotta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Augusto Cordario's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Flavio Vittori firmly grabbed it by the left post. With his leg Flavio Vittori managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 30 minutes into the match, Zaccheo Andolina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erwin Huygens. Velez Sarsfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zaccheo Andolina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Deodato Magliozzi made in the 33rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Porziano Marchitelli. In the 37th minute, Gomberto Picozzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Berenguer came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute of the match Velez Sarsfield got a corner. Italy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Filomeno Montrell ran over to the corner to take the kick. Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigfrido Auletta in the 42nd minute of play. Sostene Vitulli kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Filomeno Montrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Vittori having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Arnoldo Mel made in the 51st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Sun Zhi Zhen. The throw-in from Deodato Magliozzi in the 53rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Velez Sarsfield's Ando Averin. When Italy's Sigfrido Auletta in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Velez Sarsfield's goalie prevented a goal. Arnoldo Mel hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. If Augusto Cordario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Cordario in the 72nd minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arnoldo Mel hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Velez Sarsfield's Ago Tramp was substituted for Filomeno Montrell. Velez Sarsfield made a substitution. Yiyo Bernal replaced Marcos Pacifico. In the 79th minute, Arnoldo Mel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Erwin Huygens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zaccheo Andolina. Italy made a substitution. Adriano Curto replaced Zaccheo Andolina. A collision led to Italy getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Deodato Magliozzi hit a great ball. Erwin Huygens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adriano Curto went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Cordario, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 91 minutes into the match, Augusto Cordario had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavio Vittori. Italy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Augusto Cordario was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Erwin Huygens was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Adriano Curto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adriano Curto really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Italy's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
