Lucrețiu Grigore blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Kahn having to make a save. 8 minutes into the match, Edson Ribeiro notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Prudente's Eleuterio Gaztea got a free kick in the 11th minute. Quinto Fonticoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Holweck in the 13th minute of play. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucrețiu Grigore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Quinto Fonticoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 19th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Frank Sachs got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Quinto Fonticoba quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Chris Mergenthaler hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Edson Ribeiro sent off a good shot on target. Quinto Fonticoba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Sachs's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Germany's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frank Sachs in the 34th minute. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edson Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, Germany's Chris Mergenthaler got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute, Lucrețiu Grigore left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio Prudente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Frank Sachs made the kick off in the second half. 61 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Edson Ribeiro came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Malte Schiele charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Malte Schiele the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 67 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Malte Schiele. With a little luck, Grêmio Prudente's Quinto Fonticoba got control of the ball when Frank Sachs tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio Prudente's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quinto Fonticoba came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucrețiu Grigore, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Grêmio Prudente's Quinto Fonticoba got control of the ball when Frank Sachs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Pedroso in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucrețiu Grigore in the 91st minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd match minute, Grêmio Prudente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edson Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Pedroso in the 96th minute of play.
