Kyle Cox fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Máté Kántor having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Cox in the 7th minute of play forced FC Budapest's goalkeeper Máté Kántor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the game, FC Budapest's Bálint Bakos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Khalid Kennedy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bálint Bakos. Micah Macdonald kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 24th minute Issac Dawson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Máté Kántor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Máté Kántor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Issac Dawson, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. A collision led to England getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Eddie Willis hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Micah Macdonald managed to get in a good position for a shot. England's supporters rose to their feet, but Micah Macdonald was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Máté Kántor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Budapest's Máté Kántor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Micah Macdonald in the 32nd minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Micah Macdonald had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Máté Kántor. FC Budapest's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Micah Macdonald was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 34th minute, Kálmán Földes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Máté Kántor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyle Cox in the 38th minute of the match. Máté Kántor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Cox, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Budapest's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Micah Macdonald was slow to take the kick. During this time England's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Cooper Thompson advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-2 in the 42nd minute. In the 46th minute, Elemér Szabó hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Máté Kántor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Micah Macdonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bálint Bakos was the one to do the kick off. Máté Kántor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle Cox, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Issac Dawson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Máté Kántor having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Caelan Hayes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 65 played minutes FC Budapest got a freekick which was hit by Norbert Détári. The audience thought a goal was coming when Micah Macdonald got free with Máté Kántor in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 69 minutes into the game, Issac Dawson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Máté Kántor. Issac Dawson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kyle Cox in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Máté Kántor saved FC Budapest from getting behind. Máté Kántor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Micah Macdonald in the 74th minute. Micah Macdonald scored 1-4 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Máté Kántor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kyle Cox recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th minute, England's Issac Dawson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Máté Kántor. Máté Kántor yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. The England fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when England's Issac Dawson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Kálmán Földes hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
