In the 10th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harald Hopp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Gullstad SK's Emanuel Herlea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Casper Claes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 15th minute of play forced Gullstad SK's goalkeeper Harald Hopp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harald Hopp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harald Hopp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yves Dervaux, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Baysal Akdiken kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yves Dervaux in the 23rd minute of play forced Gullstad SK's goalkeeper Harald Hopp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harald Hopp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th match minute, Gullstad SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Prezan to maneuver through the defense. Belgium's Casper Claes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Belgium from getting a goal against them. In the 47th match minute, Belgium was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nigel Devos to maneuver through the defense.

Gullstad SK's Harald Hopp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Gullstad SK from getting a goal against them. The Gullstad SK fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Gullstad SK's Emanuel Herlea looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee felt a red card was in order, 61 minutes into the game, when Birk Vestre put in a rough tackle. In the 60th minute, one of Gullstad SK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gullstad SK. Harald Hopp had in the 63rdth minute some difficulties stopping Edward Vanderstraeten's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 65th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harald Hopp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Yves Dervaux ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Harald Hopp was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Herlea in the 71st minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jim Kronhage's late challenge caught a Belgium's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jim Kronhage helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Gullstad SK's Jim Kronhage got a free kick in the 75th minute. Harald Hopp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 78th minute. After 78 played minutes Edward Vanderstraeten rounded Gullstad SK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-3. Harald Hopp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yves Dervaux in the 85th minute. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gullstad SK's goalkeeper Harald Hopp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edward Vanderstraeten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Harald Hopp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edward Vanderstraeten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Casper Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuel Herlea's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. In the 98th minute, Roger Rognerud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten from long distance, 99 minutes into the match, got Harald Hopp's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The Gullstad SK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Belgium were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
