Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alix Geoffray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Balazs Lajos in the 16th minute of play. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Major Barna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alix Geoffray was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 27 minutes into the match, Hungary's Antal Valentin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alix Geoffray narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alix Geoffray having to interfere. After taking down the ball on Hungary's corner Antal Valentin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alix Geoffray quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Rathmore Lime Tree booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balazs Lajos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toufik Loir could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Fodor Daniel made a huge save. Takacs Tibor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antal Valentin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Yves Robinet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. After 53 minutes, Yves Robinet made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Hungary's Fodor Daniel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 58th minute, Toufik Loir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 61st minute. The corner led Hungary's Antal Valentin to fire away a dangerous shot which Alix Geoffray despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Antal Valentin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Alix Geoffray was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 67 minutes into the match, Toufik Loir notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Hungary's Fodor Daniel. Fodor Daniel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yves Robinet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rathmore Lime Tree were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Hungary's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Benjamin Loth took the corner. The corner ended in Benjamin Loth almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel did a great save. After 75 played minutes Rathmore Lime Tree got a freekick which was hit by Gabin Lièvin. In the 80th minute Rathmore Lime Tree were awarded a corner. Benjamin Loth went to the cornerflag to take it. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Alix Geoffray made a huge save. In the 87th minute, Major Barna reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alix Geoffray. The goal made the score 2-4. 93 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Rathmore Lime Tree's Alix Geoffray. Alix Geoffray was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Toufik Loir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Hungary left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rathmore Lime Tree.
