Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. Apostol Sokolov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Ottó Fejes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apostol Sokolov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Apostol Sokolov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 17th minute of the match. Apostol Sokolov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Daniel Pimentel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 22 minutes into the game, Fabricio Andrade threw the ball into play from the sideline. Monitor Huáscar's Jeffrey Van Craesbeeck quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ottó Fejes in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Andrade to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Monitor Huáscar's Apostol Sokolov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 39th minute of play. Ottó Fejes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apostol Sokolov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Monitor Huáscar's Paulo Fallabes was substituted for Bernardinho Bala. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viriato Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. Monitor Huáscar's Apostol Sokolov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 60th minute of play forced Monitor Huáscar's goalkeeper Apostol Sokolov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 78 minutes, Chiquito Rico managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monitor Huáscar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chiquito Rico was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Monitor Huáscar's Apostol Sokolov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Monitor Huáscar from getting a goal against them. The throw-in from Jeffrey Van Craesbeeck in the 81st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel. In the 81st minute, Constantino Carabajo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gines Hubieta made in the 87th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Portugal's Bruno Bastos. Apostol Sokolov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipinho Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Monitor Huáscar's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolomeu Dias came free, but Apostol Sokolov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 minutes, Bartolomeu Dias made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Monitor Huáscar's Apostol Sokolov tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Monitor Huáscar's Jeffrey Van Craesbeeck got a free kick in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chiquito Rico in the 94th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
