Amadeu Vaz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Johannes Kruuse showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Amadeu Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Rodrigues in the 13th minute of the match. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maurício Rodrigues in the 14th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Ciro da Silveira heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After a rather tough play, Les Misèrables's Diederik Vrancken got a free kick in the 16th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Johannes Kruuse kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amadeu Vaz. That made the score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. Les Misèrables's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Johannes Kruuse scored to the left of an out of position Amadeu Vaz, making the score, 3-0. Johannes Kruuse took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amadeu Vaz. Amadeu Vaz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. When Ciro da Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the S.C. Corinthians Paulista fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro da Silveira couldn't finish the play. After 33 minutes, Diederik Vrancken mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Les Misèrables and the S.C. Corinthians Paulista players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, Les Misèrables was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diederik Vrancken to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Johannes Kruuse's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeu Vaz was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Corinthians Paulista's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johannes Kruuse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Rafinha Orange was substituted for Edgard de Lima. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Evandro Trancoso was substituted for Johannes Kruuse. In the 75th minute Evandro Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the S.C. Corinthians Paulista players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
