After 16 minutes of play, Goral Zywiec's Fariz Nair made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lisandro Ihintza was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lisandro Ihintza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fariz Nair in the 19th minute of play. Grupo Informatico's Lisandro Ihintza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grzegorz Jajecznica in the 20th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evaristo Brion got free with Michael Krawczyk in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee ignored Grupo Informatico's protests and gave Elias Barrionuevo a yellow card for diving instead. After the first half Goral Zywiec were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fariz Nair to make the kick off.
