Indiana Jones's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erasto Bargas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. After 11 minutes Alas de Júpiter's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eugenio Mera who took care of the corner kick. In the 16th minute, Noé Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Alas de Júpiter! When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Eugenio Mera took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Erasto Bargas to make any attempt to save it. Erasto Bargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Indiana Jones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erasto Bargas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Indiana Jones in the 31st minute. 34 minutes into the match, Club El Progreso's Indiana Jones sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erasto Bargas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benjamin Tino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alifonso Gasso in the 37th minute of play. Erasto Bargas made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Indiana Jones sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Alas de Júpiter booed when Club El Progreso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Portela didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Alas de Júpiter's Nacho Monreal broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alifonso Gasso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Alas de Júpiter's goalkeeper Erasto Bargas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Indiana Jones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 55th minute Indiana Jones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasto Bargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club El Progreso's Benjamin Tino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Club El Progreso from getting a goal against them. Erasto Bargas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Indiana Jones went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Stephan Testaferrata Bonici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasto Bargas having to interfere. A hard shot by Everardo Pabon from long distance, 82 minutes into the match, got Benjamin Tino's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After having played for 94 minutes, Eugenio Mera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club El Progreso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugenio Mera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Club El Progreso support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
