Gabriel Ascaso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from A.J. R. Hansen in the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Björn Tingelholm in the 24th minute of play forced Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If David Aranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, A.J. R. Hansen managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Felice a Ema U.L.'s supporters rose to their feet, but A.J. R. Hansen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Ascaso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st minute, David Aranda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Gabriel Ascaso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ramiro Gago's late challenge caught a Spain's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omar Toledo to make the kick off. The San Felice a Ema U.L. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Spain were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
