Ilija Skugor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Journet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Toni Mauzer in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafael Manilan saved Ménétrol from getting behind. 24 minutes into the game, André Jimenez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ilija Skugor. André Jimenez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Rafael Manilan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toni Mauzer in the 28th minute of play. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Journet, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute, Dinko Stankovic got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd minute Eduard Kostelac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Manilan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Croatia's Ilija Skugor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Croatia from getting a goal against them. 38 minutes into the match, Jocelyn Gilet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ilija Skugor. Croatia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jocelyn Gilet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Ilija Skugor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 63rd minute Lemuel Epperson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ménétrol's Lemuel Epperson managed to work through Croatia's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Ilija Skugor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jocelyn Gilet went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Croatia's Ilija Skugor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Jimenez in the 92nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 5-0 when André Jimenez sped through Croatia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ilija Skugor. Ménétrol were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Croatia for a fine match.
