In the 21st minute, Patrik Terzic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Croatia's Neven Culina got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in ＤＥＴＲＯＩＴ's zone, Damir Pongrac stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atalay Akel came out of the goal and Damir Pongrac tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gökcan Enginalp in the 28th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Croatia's Benjamin Domazet seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Benjamin Domazet the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Croatia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Benjamin Domazet had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Croatia! Ilija Skugor had in the 29thth minute some difficulties stopping Erol Saip's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Dinko Stankovic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Atalay Akel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damir Pongrac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Bosak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The ＤＥＴＲＯＩＴ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Croatia were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aytek Titiz made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Aytek Titiz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ilija Skugor was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Damir Pongrac blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Atalay Akel having to make a save. Croatia's Ilija Skugor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gökcan Enginalp in the 58th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Damir Pongrac managed to get in a good position for a shot. Croatia's supporters rose to their feet, but Damir Pongrac was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atalay Akel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Dinko Stankovic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dinko Stankovic's late challenge caught a ＤＥＴＲＯＩＴ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dinko Stankovic helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Croatia getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Dinko Stankovic hit a great ball. In the 69th minute Gökcan Enginalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilija Skugor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emre Kalagay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dinko Stankovic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mustafa Kemal Oğuzbala took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ilija Skugor. Croatia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Damir Pongrac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atalay Akel having to interfere. In the 86th match minute, ＤＥＴＲＯＩＴ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aybars Toydemir to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes in the game Eduard Kostelac after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Atalay Akel. A very good opportunity. In the 91st minute Gökcan Enginalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teo Gudelj hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gökcan Enginalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erol Saip in the 95th minute of the match. ＤＥＴＲＯＩＴ's Atalay Akel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save ＤＥＴＲＯＩＴ from getting a goal against them.
