Flavius Nebunu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 12th minute of play forced Old Boys's goalkeeper Dacian Ecobescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albin Holweck charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albin Holweck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Old Boys booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malte Schiele didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basarab Strungă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albin Holweck to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 21 in the game by Gelu Feraru from a close distance when the talented Tommy Kahn managed to make a qualified save. Germany's players were relieved. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dacian Ecobescu having to interfere. After 27 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 28th minute of play forced Old Boys's goalkeeper Dacian Ecobescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Germany's Adrian Dreifuss got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gelu Feraru's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Tommy Kahn skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Basarab Strungă made in the 40th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Georgi Asparuhov however managed to control. Flavius Nebunu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Old Boys's Basarab Strungă got a free kick in the 44th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Gelu Feraru made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Panait Groza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Old Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panait Groza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Georgi Asparuhov, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. If Panait Groza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Sachss short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Dacian Ecobescu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 66th minute, Germany's Frank Sachs dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the game, Georgi Asparuhov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Frank Sachs kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dacian Ecobescu having to interfere. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Old Boys's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
