The wind increased when Sture Åhlberg made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Denis Dostal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Czech Republic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wrexham A.F.C. the free kick. After 53 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Denis Dostal. 58 minutes into the match, Czech Republic's goal looked a bit too open when Sture Åhlberg came free, but Vavrinec Holub reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wrexham A.F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sture Brolin in the 60th minute. After taking down the ball on Wrexham A.F.C.'s corner Sture Brolin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vavrinec Holub quite easily take care of the ball. Adrian Söderberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vavrinec Holub having to interfere.
