In the 28th minute of the match Diamante Negro DK - VV got a corner. Gremio NG's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vítor Mattos ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Diamante Negro DK - VV's Vinícius Servaes got a free kick in the 29th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vinícius Servaes in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fábio Pinheiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vinícius Servaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 37th minute Raimundo Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armandinho Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raimundo Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armandinho Araújo having to interfere. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gremio NG! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vinícius Servaes was the one to do the kick off. Oséias Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Gremio NG's Fábio Pinheiro got control of the ball when Vinícius Servaes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vinícius Servaess short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Fábio Pinheiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vinícius Servaes had several of the Gremio NG's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 59 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Fábio Pinheiro as he didn't even see the shot coming. The crowd rose to their feet as Vinícius Servaes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fábio Pinheiro. That made the score 0-6 in the 66 minute of play. Júnior Prestes hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After 79 played minutes Gremio NG got a freekick which was hit by Silvério Diniz. In the 80th minute, Oséias Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diamante Negro DK - VV's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vítor Mattos in the 84th minute. Vítor Mattos made a great header on Diamante Negro DK - VV's corner, it was just that Gremio NG's Fábio Pinheiro managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Diamante Negro DK - VV booed when Gremio NG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júnior Quintana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fábio Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Mattos in the 87th minute of the match. If Vinícius Servaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vinícius Servaes in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fábio Pinheiro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vinícius Servaes in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fábio Pinheiro saved Gremio NG from getting behind.
